Agência americana realizou experimentos bem sucedidos em ratos de laboratório – até o final de 2013 método será testado em cobaias humanas

Cientistas treinaram um grupo de ratos para pressionar alavancas que disponibilizavam cocaína. Através de fibras óticas implantadas nos cérebros dos roedores, um laser de baixa intensidade era disparado em seus cérebros – e isso resultou em ratinhos que simplesmente não saíam em busca da droga. Sempre que os pesquisadores desativavam essa mesma região do cérebro em ratinhos não viciados, eles passavam a demonstrar interesse pela substância.

Masashi Kawamura, partner at Japanese creative agency PARTY, talks about the pop-up 3D photo booth he ran in Tokyo last year and his thoughts on the future of 3D printing.

The Omote 3D Shashinkan project, gave customers the opportunity to be buy a 3D-printed model of themselves or their family. "We wanted to find a new way to innovate the form of the family portrait and bring it to the next century," Kawamura explains.
